Heritas Capital is pleased to announce Anselm Tan’s joining as Managing Director, and Head of Venture Capital. A seasoned professional with broad-based experience, Anselm will offer insights spanning a range of investment areas. Prior to joining Heritas, Anselm was a partner at Philips Ventures where he was the driving force for health technology venture investing in APAC. Anselm currently serves on the advisory board of the Singapore Deep-Tech Alliance, and sits on evaluation panels for the funding of healthcare innovations.

Along with Anselm, Heritas recently welcomed new investment team members, Marcus Tan and Pornteera Pawijit. Marcus, who holds a PhD in Biomedical Sciences from Harvard University, has prior experience at A*STAR, Advanced MedTech, and Cargene Therapeutics; while Pornteera, who holds a PhD in Biological Sciences and MBA from National University of Singapore, joined Heritas from L.E.K. Consulting, where she was a senior life science specialist advising healthcare businesses.

Anselm joins Chik Wai Chiew, CEO and Executive Director and Janet Chia, Managing Director and Head of Private Equity as part of Heritas’ senior investment leadership team and Investment Committees of multiple impact funds in active deployment.

“Anselm is an experienced leader with deep roots and passion in backing meaningful innovation to deliver impact at scale. We also welcome Marcus and Pornteera who are contributing their complementary experience and expertise including deep tech ventures investing and building,” said Janet Chia.
