Mary Ann Tsao is the Chairman and Founding Director of the Tsao Foundation, a Singapore-based - but regionally oriented - non-profit operational foundation dedicated to aged care and ageing issues. Previously, she was also its CEO and President.
Tsao Foundation aims to address issues of population ageing, promote successful ageing and enhance wellbeing of older people at policy and practice levels by catalyzing constructuve change.
Dr. Tsao has served on numerous boards and committees of government and non-profit organizations in Singapore as well as internationally. She currently chairs the advisory board of Duke-NUS’ CARE (Centre for Ageing Research and Education). For her work on ageing, she received the Public Service Medal (PBM) in 2000, Public Service Star (BBM) in 2004, and Public Service Star (Bar) in 2015 from the government of Singapore.
Dr. Tsao has also worked with numerous multilateral agencies, such as WHO Geneva office’s Ageing and Life Course unit, and has been a resource person and technical advisor to other UN agencies, such as UNESCAP (United Nations Economic and Social Commission for the Asia Pacific) and the ASEAN Secretariat.
A member of a business family, Dr. Tsao is also involved with FBNA (Family Business Netowrk Asia) as a Board Director as well as various family business and non-profit projects.
Born and raised in Hong Kong, Dr. Tsao is a US trained physician with a public health background, specializing in community and primary care planning and social medicine. She has extensive experience working with disadvantaged communities in the US and Singapore.
Bryan has over 25 years of investment experience managing global multi asset portfolios. He has varied experience from managing Asian and European equities at Arab Bank to managing hedge fund portfolios at Oaks Family Office. He also has business experience co-founding First Avenue Partners, an alternative investment advisory business in London, and later heading alternative investments at DBS Private Bank. Bryan was CIO of Bordier Singapore before joining Tsao Family Office Pte. Ltd., family office of the Tsao Group, as CEO/CIO.
Bruno Lorenzon is currently Head, Group Corporate Finance for the IMC Group and has more than 15 years’ experience in investments, strategy and corporate finance in the Natural Resources sector both in Australia and overseas. He has worked for the IMC Group for the past nine years and previously worked for Vale in Brazil and Rio Tinto in Australia in roles encompassing strategic planning, M&A and business development. Mr Lorenzon has a Bachelor of Civil Engineering, MBA and is a CFA chartholder. Mr Lorenzon is an alternate director representing the IMC Group on the Boards of Millennium Minerals Ltd (ASX:MOY) and Horizon Oil Limited (ASX:HZN).
Charis has over 10 years of experience in private equity, venture capital and corporate finance transactions. Her past experiences include M&A, JV partnerships, and investment execution and deal management across Healthcare, Education, Technology, Financial Institutions Group, and Oil & Gas industries in Fortune 500 and various private equity firms across Asia.
Charis graduated with a double degree (BBM in Finance and BSc in Economics) with High Distinction from the Singapore Management University. She has also completed an executive program at Tsinghua University School of Economics and Management in Beijing, China.
Janet has over 10 years of experience in private equity, venture and growth capital, start-ups, technology operations and corporate finance. She co-founded / managed educational and healthcare technology start-ups and was also previously involved in fund raising, M&A, corporate and debt restructuring and investment management across Media, Consumer, Education, Technology, Healthcare and Manufacturing across various private equity firms in Asia.
Janet graduated with a MSc in Applied Finance from Singapore Management University and a BBA (Hons) from the National University of Singapore.
